Selfish Ventures is a studio, a playground for me, Gaurabh Mathure, to build what I want, use and share.Whether it’s designing something beautiful, creating software, tools, or something entirely new - sometimes you don't know its value unless you put it out into the world. But this isn't making for the sake of making - it’s got to be a enjoyable to use, fairly priced (if it is commercial) - but most importantly it should help me learn something new.These are the initial tenets guiding my projects.

1. The internet isn’t playful anymore :(

It’s for brands, algorithms, and ad dollars. We need to bring back the fun.

Serving others begins with serving yourself.

The internet is a canvas - experiment. Don't over think it.

We design for our needs because no one feels our problems like us.

Many of life's memorable experiences don't have measurable outcomes.

Saying 'no' creates short term pain, but long term gain.

8. Every decision starts with one question.

Will doing this help me learn something new?

It’s about being centered on what truly matters.
